Norman Katnik - Retired

Norman P. Katnik joined the legal practice founded by his father, Andrew P. Katnik, in 1985. It was at this time the firm name was officially changed to Katnik & Katnik Lawyers, establishing its long-standing dedication to Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury Law in Santa Ana, California. After a distinguished 30+ year career securing numerous million-dollar settlements and judgments for clients, Norman P. Katnik retired on December 31, 2024. He successfully transitioned the firm’s leadership and ownership to his sons, Norm P. Katnik Jr. and Kurt Katnik, effective January 1, 2015, ensuring the family legacy continues with the third generation.

Norman earned his Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law in 1985 and was sworn into the California State and Federal courts the same year. He immediately joined his father’s practice after graduation.

His career is built on the same discipline he demonstrated as a top-tier collegiate athlete. Norman was an All-American offensive center at Saddleback Junior College before becoming the two-year starting center for the University of Arizona Wildcats, where he won the “Tough Boot Award” for Outstanding Lineman of the Year.

Norman resides in Santa Ana with his wife, Dacia, where they raised their four children and are active parishioners of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Having transitioned to an empty nest, Norman and Dacia are now focused on traveling and enjoying retirement.
