In Memory of Andrew P. Katnik (1934–2022)
Andrew Paul Katnik was the founder of the Katnik family law legacy, establishing his legal practice in Santa Ana, California, in 1960. For three decades, he dedicated his career to serving the legal needs of Orange County, setting the original foundation of family commitment that the firm continues today in the fields of Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury Law.
A Commitment to Orange County
Andrew—known affectionately as Andy—was a long-time resident of Orange County. His strong local ties are reflected in his education and community service: Andy graduated from Orange High School in 1953. He went on to graduate from the University of Southern California (USC) in 1957 and earned his law degree from UCLA Law School in 1960. Immediately upon graduating from law school in 1960, Andy began practicing law in Santa Ana. He was later joined by his son, Norman P. Katnik, when the firm became Katnik & Katnik Lawyers in 1985. Andy was an active member of the community, serving as a coach for Pop Warner football and remaining a devout Catholic throughout his life.
A Lasting Family Legacy
